The new Yelp backed service will be rolling out with the U.S. seeing full availability in a few weeks.

Yelp, which was founded in 2004, uses local reviews and social networking to create an online local community.

It allows users to connect with local businesses that are rated on a 5-point scale. Site visitors review businesses as well as giving details about businesses addresses, hours, and credibility.

Bing users will see reviews, photos, and other content by Yelp when using Bing local pages to help people find out more about businesses near them.

"Yelp has become the leading destination for local information and we’re thrilled that established brands like Bing recognize the value that Yelp communities bring to the local search experience," says Jeremy Stoppelman, CEO and co-founder, Yelp.

"We are excited to see how Bing fans respond to this new local search experience powered by Yelp."

The company had approximately 71 million monthly unique visitors in Q1 2012 and its app was used on 6.3 million unique mobile devices on a monthly basis. By the end of Q1 2012 Yelp users had written over 27 million local business reviews.

"Whether it’s discovering the right restaurant, planning the evening’s entertainment or finding local services, Yelp has emerged as a proven and trusted resource," says Mike Nichols, general manager, Bing. "Enabling people to do more with search involves building a spectrum of features and data that people trust, and teaming up with Yelp is another important step in helping Bing deliver great value to customers."

Yelp has also partnered with Apple’s new 3D maps in which Apple has already added 100 million Yelp listings for local search.
