Unisys has released a new Mobility Solutions Suite of services that are designed to help organisations manage, secure and support mobile devices as well as their applications.

The mobility assessment services include an overview of the current state of the infrastructure including mobile device management (MDM) processes, a gap analysis to identify specific threats and opportunities for improvement.

The mobile application development services are aimed at designing new applications as well as facilitating the effectiveness of legacy applications that are being ported to mobile devices.

Mobile authentication services help enterprises protect business-critical resources by authenticating users’ identities based on multiple factors such as passwords, location or biometrics which leverage inbuilt mobile device cameras and microphones.

Unisys MyWork Services for Mobile are subscription-based managed services designed to help an IT service desk operation improve the productivity and uptime of mobile end users through a dedicated and complete mobile device help desk.

The services will enable IT support teams to enforce policies for managing mobile devices, minimise risk and enhance security for end users, and track mobile assets and data.

Unisys MyWork Services for Mobile includes mobile device management services and end-user experience monitoring service.

The mobile device management services help organisations deploy and manage employee-owned and company-provided smartphones and tablets on enterprise networks. The end-user experience monitoring services utlises predictive analytics tools to monitor application, device and network performance to proactively look for issues that affect end-user productivity.

The service also uses Intel’s Anti-Theft technology to track devices, disable missing devices and reactivate devices that are subsequently located.
