British retailer Debenhams has partnered with O2 to roll out free WiFi service to its customers throughout all its 167 stores.
Customers will now be able to use their smartphones and tablets to connect to O2 WiFi wherever in store, allowing them to access several Debenhams information and special deals as they walk around the store.
Availability of WiFi across the stores will allow customers to access Debenhams information and special deals as the customers walk around the store, when using the fitting rooms or while having coffee in one of the retailer’s restaurants.
The new Wifi facility will enable the customers in every Debenhams store to use their smartphones to check for sizes, availability as well scan the barcode and order it instantly for home delivery.
Scanning a product bar code will show the description of the product, details of its manufacturer, the colours, sizes and availability in the store.
Customers can now ask friends what they think about a product or see what other customers thought before buying it, receive special discount vouchers instantly, view store layouts to find items and arrange for bulky goods bought in store to be delivered later direct to home, all through their smartphones and tablets.
