Finnish handset maker Nokia has extended its Asha Touch family of mobile devices with the addition of three new model, Nokia Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311.
The new phones comes with a new re-designed touch user interface, Nokia Browser 2.0 and will all run Nokia’s S40 Asha operating system.
Nokia Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311 phones are designed to provide smartphone-like experience to consumers who want to be set free from excessive data consumption costs and short battery life, the company said.
The new devices also features Nokia Browser’s Download Manager that helps consumers to manage external content, saving music, video or pictures on a memory card, while surfing the internet.
All the new models use Nokia’s cloud technology to reduce data consumption by up to 90%, the company said.
Nokia Asha 311 is a 3.5G capacitive touchscreen device that is powered by a 1GHz processor and features a 3.2MP camera, pre-installed Nokia Maps, pre-loaded social client in addition to the 15 level pre-bundled version of Angry Birds.
Asha 305 is a Easy Swap dual SIM phone that features a 3" WQVGA resistive touch screen, a 2MP camera, Nokia Maps along with Bluetooth and Dual Band connectivity.
Nokia Asha 306 is a single SIM model that includes all the features of Asha 305 along with WLAN, enabling users to stay connected while on the move. It also supports video streaming through both GPRS and WLAN.
