Acer has unveiled two of its newest Windows 8 tablets at Computex 2012 trade conference in Taipei, the Iconia W700 and Iconia W510.
The ICONIA W510 comes with three different modes of touchscreen operation, which allows users to touch, type and view.
The tablet can also be used in productivity mode apart from the conventional tablet mode and promises 18 hours of battery life.
Users can connect a detachable keyboard dock to the tablet for optimal typing while rotating the tablet 295 degrees allows it to be used in presentation mode, suited for watching a video, browsing a webpage or viewing a PowerPoint presentation.
The W510 is equipped with Always On, Always Connect technology and a smaller 10.1-inch touchscreen.
Acer’s W700 comes with a multipurpose cradle that allows for several viewing options.
When using it in landscape, it can be tilted up to 70 degrees for viewing or 20 degrees for touch and can also be used vertically like a portrait for browsing and reading.
The W700 also has three USB 3.0 ports for expansion, a 11.6-inch Full HD touchscreen as well as Dolby Home Theater for multimedia experience.
