Object-oriented development tools firm Rogue Wave Software Inc has acquired Subtle Software Inc of Billerica Massachusetts on undisclosed financial terms. Subtle Software will relocate to Rogue Wave’s Corvallis, Oregon offices and join Rogue Wave’s DBTools.h++ development team. Boulder, Colorado-based Rogue Wave picks up the Subtleware product family, which includes object-to- relational mapping and caching technologies. Rogue Wave is incorporating the technology into products currently in development and scheduled for release during the third quarter of this year. Separately, Rogue Wave reported a second-quarter net loss of $307,000 on revenue up 34.2% at $10.3m. Results included $1.2m in merger and relocation charges.
