Infor has bolstered its Supply Chain Management suite with improved timetable abilities so its customers are better prepared to collaborate with their partners.

Advanced Scheduling will allow managers to coordinate their schedules through an integrated dashboard, which has been designed to highlight exceptional information, as well as a search function

John Bermudez, VP of product management at Infor, said: "Infor Advanced Scheduling is designed to achieve tight synchronisation of all operations across the production lines, helping process manufacturers overcome scheduling challenges by shortening planning time and decreasing production stoppages.

"This solution delivers a more accurate and efficient production schedule, which streamlines the overall production process."

Customers can access Advanced Scheduling through Infor’s Supply Chain Management tool, which is available in a range of flavours tailored to industries such as distribution and hospitality.

Whilst the company has spent recent months rolling out more features for its industry-specific range it has also been pushing for more of its customers to join the cloud as it seeks to improve its position in the software-as-a-service market.

Last month Stephan Scholl told CBR that the firm’s biggest challenge was the "legacy branding" of the firm, which he believed had gone years of underinvestment.

"We’ve been in the cloud business for a long time, but what we’re starting to see is customers taking core ERP and running these mission critical apps on the cloud," he said.
