Facebook is replacing its Like Box plug-in with a new Page Plugin, effective 23 June.
Page Plugin is expected to have functions similar to that of Like Box.
Like Box is a type of the embeddable Like Button which allows users to like a page, and allows administrators to promote their pages and embed a feed of content from one page to other sites.
Facebook said: "With the release of Graph API v2.3, the Like Box plugin is deprecated and will stop working on June 23rd 2015.
"Use the new Page Plugin instead. The Page Plugin allows you to embed a simple feed of content from a page into your websites."
Page Plugin is expected to have a cleaner look, and is capable of pulling in content feeds from user’s Facebook Page, reported The Next Web.
Users will have to remove the old code to enable the newer plug-in and add in the Graph API.
