British insurance company JLT has ditched Blackberry mobile security solution for its work devices, opting instead for the Good Mobility Suite, created by mobile data security provider Good Technology.
The Good Mobility Suite is designed to simplify access to email, instant messaging, calendar, contacts, tasks browsing and facilitates document sharing in a secure way.
The suite also allows customers to internally deploy their custom-developed Good-secured apps based on Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform.
The apps built on the Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform use the company’s containerisation, which provides app-level encryption on different devices and facilitates secure data sharing between Good secured apps.
Good’s secure container solution can be installed on a user’s personal device as well as official smartphones and tablets. The solution also facilitates remote wiping of the contents that are placed in the container leaving user’s personal data unaffected.
JLT is also developing custom apps on the Good Dynamics Platform, which will allow employees to accept contracts with one click, or file contracts directly to the document management system without using help an outsourced partner.
JLT highlighted that around 3,500 employees in the company are using Good Mobility Suite for various activities including checking emails using Good for Enterprise, GoodReader for Good to open password-protected PDFs, and securely use documents stored in SharePoint with Good Share.
JLT service delivery director Chris Hunter said, "In the past, IT had to deny requests from mobile employees who wanted to use their own devices because of security concerns.
"We liked Good’s approach of securing data, not devices, and its long history with the U.S. federal government reassured us that it would meet our strict security requirements. Good Mobility Suite has become a critical business tool for our increasingly mobile workforce."
