Teradata has announced that its analytics for SAP Solutions can now infuse near real-time data from SAP ERP applications into enterprise analytic and reporting applications.

The expanded capability will help businesses to discover extra value within ERP applications.

Teradata Analytics for SAP Solutions works by automatically capturing the most current data from ERP applications, which it combines with non-SAP data that is stored in an Integrated Data Warehouse.

This process allows a wider group of users to leverage the in-database processing.

Scott Gnau, president, Teradata Labs, said: "Teradata Analytics for SAP Solutions is a fast, ready-to-use solution that can be deployed in a matter of weeks to support more agile data-driven business decisions."

"By providing access to integrated data in near real-time we’re enabling our customers to make data from SAP ERP applications usable for business intelligence across the enterprise."

After data is integrated into the Teradata IDW, users will be able to use over 150 out-of-the-box Teradata Analytics for SAP Solutions, including dashboards and standardised business reports.

Users will also have access to over 1,000 SAS Institute, Fuzzy Logix and R in-database analytic functions that are said to run at in memory speed.

Tjerk Bancken, architect, Blokker, a company which uses Teradata Analytics for SAP Solutions, said: "Teradata Analytics for SAP Solutions was able to deliver financial, operational, and commercial insights across our brands."

"Teradata Analytics for SAP Solutions is a fast and flexible integrated solution, offering lower project risk, faster development, an integrated semantic model, and direct access to detailed data."
