Red Hat has announced its vision to help organisations succeed in the mobile-first economy.

The purpose of the announcement is to help companies address the issue of mobility and to make it a top priority as a means to drive innovation and streamline operational efficiency.

However, the issues facing organisations are the demands for faster and continuous development cycles which can be challenging to traditional IT infrastructure and development methodologies.

Red Hat advises that enterprises need to evolve in order to become more agile but also adhere to a stability of core IT.

The company has aimed its helpful vision in the areas of platform architecture, developer experience, technology integration, and collaboration in two-track IT environments.

Using a public or private cloud PaaS architecture can help to facilitate agile development and DevOps processes, as can having a developer-centric approach allows organisations to use existing IT skillsets for new mobile initiatives.

The integration of technology which is simplified with other enterprise middleware components, and is based upon a common REST API architecture can help facilitate the unlocking of value in existing systems of record.

Being able to adopt a two-track IT approach by using mobile as the catalyst for building a "fast IT" organisation can help to balance agility with stability.

Craig Muzilla, senior vice president, Application Platforms Business, Red Hat, said: "The mobile phenomenon has had a profound impact on the way we think and act and consume information in our daily lives."

"That impact is now rippling throughout enterprise IT as organizations come face-to-face with the reality of doing business in a new ‘mobile first’ world, where speed and agility must be prioritized without forsaking the stability of core IT."

"Our vision is to help enterprises evolve in a digital world and provide them with an open and flexible architecture and the technologies that accelerate this transition."
