Bindview Development Corp has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of its common stock worth up to $44.3m. Both the company and selling stockholders will offer shares. BancAmerica Robertson Stephens is acting as lead manager and BT Alex. Brown and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation are acting as co-managers of the proposed underwriting group. Houston-based BindView provides systems management software for Windows NT and Novell NetWare-based networks. The company sells a suite of analysis and management products that it says provide security and configuration management applications for Windows NT and NetWare operating systems, Year 2000 assessment, asset management, and automatic inventory applications for enterprise- wide networks.
