Revenue for the quarter was $15.1m up 174% from the $5.5m of the year-ago quarter. The nine-month figures have been restated to include the results of Allaire’s second quarter acquisitions of Bright Tiger Technologies Inc and Live Software Inc. Both purchases were accounted for as a pooling of interests.

Allaire makes the Cold Fusion web application server and HomeSite web development tool. This quarter, it also announced a new content management product called Allaire Spectra. The software, which is due to ship in the fourth quarter, enables companies to build and deploy XML-based e-commerce web sites. Also during the quarter, Allaire continued to expand its Alliance Partner Program, signing 20 new deals with integration partners, consultants and OEMs who have committed to supporting Spectra, Allaire says. In addition, the company signed a partnership with Backsoft Corp, an enterprise application integration product and services provider, to allow companies to web-enable their SAP R/3 applications and make them accessible through Allaire’s application server.
