Amazon Web Services has launched support for dynamic content in Amazon CloudFront, enabling AWS customers to enhance the reach of their website in a cost-effective way.

The company said the new service will help businesses deliver personalised, dynamic web content at no additional cost, without writing new code, and increase performance and reliability for interactive web applications.

CloudFront works with dynamic applications running in Amazon EC2, without any custom coding or configuration to deliver all the website content, including the dynamic portions of the site that changes for each end-user.

Developers running web applications with both dynamic and static content can now accelerate their website using the AWS Management Console.

Amazon CloudFront has implemented several performance optimisations such as maintaining persistent connections with the origin web servers and other network path optimisations to speed up the delivery of dynamic content.

The dynamic content delivery is used with origin web servers running in Amazon EC2 to offer customers with an enhanced experience as AWS monitors and streamlines the network paths from each Amazon CloudFront edge location to the various AWS Regions for improved latency.

With this feature, requests for dynamic, static and streaming content are all routed through Amazon CloudFront’s worldwide network of edge locations, giving customers improved performance through network and route optimisations that accelerate the delivery of content from the origin to the end user.
