Yahoo! Inc and Motorola Inc have agreed to enable access to Yahoo’s content and services from Motorola’s internet-connected wireless devices. Several of Motorola’s newest toys will link to a range of Yahoo services formatted for display on PDAs and mobile phones. Dedicated bookmarks will appear on the phones’ display. If all goes according to plan, users of the Motorola devices will be able to use Yahoo Mail, Address Book and Calendar. The deal is a win for Yahoo, which has long sought ways of extending its content for use on a wider range of devices. It also gives Motorola’s internet-enabled devices something to connect to.
