Entertainment software publisher Take-Two Interactive Software Inc said Wednesday it has acquired all of the capital stock of DMA Design Ltd from Infogrames Entertainment SA for $11m in cash, including the assumption of certain bank debt. DMA is a ten-year- old game production studio based in Scotland and is the creator and developer of Take-Two’s Grand Theft Auto series.

New York-based Take-Two says it expects Grand Theft Auto products to account for more than $50m in net sales for its fiscal year ending October 31. As a result of that business and the lack of royalty payments going forward, the company expects the acquisition to be accretive in both fiscal 1999 and 2000. DMA will join Take-Two’s Rockstar Games division and the company says it plans to utilize the DMA team as a source of product for Sony Corp’s upcoming PlayStation 2 platform as well as the PC and the internet. á
