Ardent Software Inc, the data management software company, yesterday announced that Mikael Wipperfeld has joined the business as VP of data warehouse marketing. Wipperfeld, who joins Westboro, Massachusetts-based Ardent from Platinum Technologies, will oversee all product planning, management and marketing activities for the company’s data warehouse business. Wipperfeld joins Ardent Software from Platinum Technologies where he served as the vice president of marketing for data warehousing and Y2K. In that role, Wipperfeld was responsible for product management and marketing programs for the company’s data warehouse and Y2K products.
