Web hosting and managed services firm Webair has deployed EMC Isilon scale-out NAS to provide its customers scaled cloud storage.
The EMC Isilon X-Series was deployed to replace its expensive, complex storage systems and to deliver flexible, automated storage services to clients.
Isilon will enable the web hosting firm to eliminate 100 storage systems in its data centre, saving money and also provides customers with the flexblity to increase storage capacity.
The application delivers improved performance especially when processing large client files such as streaming video while the scale-out architecture will enable Webair to manage the increasing data volumes without requiring additional staff.
The ease of scaling and ‘pay-as-you-grow’ model of the Isilon will enable Webair’s clients only pay for the capacity they use.
Isilon X-Series is combined with Isilon SmartQuotas and SmartConnect to simplify storage management for both Webair and its clients.
