Autonomy Inc, the San Francisco-based branch of the Cambridge, UK knowledge management technology firm, has licensed its Portal-In-A-Box software to the US Department of Defense to enable military personnel to keep up with developments relating to their work. The company has been engaged in a pilot project with the DoD and while details of the latest roll-out are hazy, analysts expect Autonomy to benefit to the tune of $500,000 in the current financial year.
