Acquisitive Norwegian IT services company Merkantildata ASA is paying the equivalent of $2.3m for three Danish consultancy companies which are specialists at implementing Concorde AXAPTA business management software. Merkantildata is buying the companies from Computer Advances Group as part of its focus on Concorde, the package produced by Danish software group Damgaard Holdings A/S. With an estimated 500,000 people using Concorde software every day, Damgaard is planning an IPO next year (CI No 3,548) and Merkantildata wants to be a major European consultancy implementing the package. The three consultancies it is buying – CAG Activ Informatik AS, CAG Cohen & Martens AS and CAG LAN International AS – have total revenues of the equivalent of $5.3m.
