Video, telephone and broadband internet services provider Liberty Global has launched a new web tool that is said to make web surfing easy for internet beginners and seniors.
‘Internet Buttons,’ designed by the company ‘We Are What We Do,’ creates a customised web browser for friends or family members who are new to the web, said the company,
The new tool enables user to set up a personalised page of buttons through a dedicated website and saves user’s favourite websites on their own URL that can be accessed from any computer.
The new release claims to remove the complicated parts of the internet and also provides helper bars, tips and advice on the site to explain useful info.
Liberty Global Public Policy & Communications managing director Manuel Kohnstamm said the ‘Internet Buttons’ tool bridges the digital divide by bringing generations together through the use of technology.
"We believe this new tool will help reduce the isolation issue for older people and help them become active users of the internet," said Kohnstamm.
