Telecommunications equipment and systems company ZTE has released ZTE Score M, the Android smartphone for the American mobile phone service provider MetroPCS Communications.

The new smartphone features include Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 3.5-inch HVGA TFT display, 600 MHz processor, 4GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via microDS, among others.

ZTE Score M also features a 3.2 megapixel camera and Google Play which has more than 450,000 Android applications and games.

Beisides, it is Bluetooth 2.1 enabled, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) compatible and sports a 1500 mAh battery.

ZTE USA CEO and ZTE North America Region president Lixin Cheng said there are an increasing number of consumers that see how the functionality of a smartphone will enhance their lives, but still may not be prepared to commit fully to a costly device.
