BT has signed a five-year networked IT services contract with European technical services provider Imtech to provide to improve field service operations of its Dutch Building Services business unit.
BT will integrate its Field Force Automation (FFA) application with Imtech’s existing back-office system.
BT FFA is a hardware-platform independent, modular suite of services and provides effective scheduling and resource management.
The application mobilises business applications at the point of service to help organisations improve their resource utilisation, increase productivity, reduce abortive visits, vehicle mileage and carbon footprint.
BT FFA also helps organisations improve customer service and comply with their employee duty of care commitments.
The contract also covers the delivery and management of end-user devices, help-desk, data traffic management, mobile data capture and end-to-end security for a field force of 450 engineers.
BT Benelux CEO Edwin Hageman said ensuring field service operations run efficiently is critical to the success of organisations with employees, vehicles and assets on the move.
"Imtech chose BT for the next five years over a number of specialist players," said Hageman.
