A hacking group, which calls itself ‘The Consortium,’ has claimed to have stolen the details of around 73,000 subscribers of the porn site DigitalPlayground.com.

The group is said to have got access to credit card numbers, emails and passwords of the users.

Financial details of at least 40,000 credit cards are reported have been stolen.

The group said on a blog post that as the data was not encrypted, the target was too enticing to resist.

The Consortium said these credit cards are all plaintext but we will not be releasing or using as we do this for the love of the game not for profit and these peoples only crime was wanting some porn.

"We cannot justify releasing these peoples credit card info, but remember it is DP that allowed this to happen, this could have been a different group," the group added.

The site is managed by a Luxembourg firm called Manwin, which took over Digital Playground only in March.
