Voice-over-Internet protocol (VoIP) kiosk developer Gratifon is leveraging Dell OEM Solutions’ OptiPlex XE PCs and cloud services for 50 kiosks that provide sponsored phone calls free to residents and tourists in Panama.

Dell OEM Solutions technology and services enable Gratifon to focus on its core business and deliver new services that help connect consumers.

Gratifon has turned to Dell OEM Solutions’ OptiPlex XE PCs as these have an extended three-year lifecycle and can operate in temperatures of more than 110 F.

OptiPlex XE PCs help customers decrease field maintenance costs with component-level stability and standards-based remote management while delivering the performance needed to power quick calls, high definition video and enhanced user experience, says Dell.

Dell OEM Solutions are said to provide the Dell Cloud with VMware vCloud Datacenter Service, a VMware-based public cloud service that provides scalable computing power and storage, eliminating the need for Gratifon to build out its own data centre.

Gratifon CEO Oz Yosef said as a startup, technology is key to ensuring that Gratifon’s business can thrive.
