Juniper Networks has unveiled a new network infrastructure for Microsoft Lync which the company says will offer an enhanced media experience for service provider customers across voice, video and unified communications (UC) applications.

Juniper stated it will concentrate on providing customers with network designs that are resilient, scalable and security-enhanced, delivering agility and performance for hosted Microsoft Lync deployments.

Juniper Networks vice president service provider marketing Rene Link said the approach ensures that the network delivers the agility to adapt to changing application requirements, while creating new paths for revenue generation and customer satisfaction.

As one of the core technology providers for the Microsoft Lync Server Multitenant Hosting Pack Reference Architecture, the company’s single multi-purpose network infrastructure for Microsoft Lync can run the most demanding applications, Juniper said.

The company said its network infrastructure will allow service provider customers to use sophisticated UC services including hosted Microsoft Lync that can drive innovation.
