Deutsche Morgan Grenfell likes Dell Computer Corp’s chances of meeting or beating its first quarter estimate of $0.42 per share. DMG also reckons that strong momentum could drive revenue above its $3.9bn forecast, a nearly 50% improvement year-over-year. Gross margins are also figured to be on track to meet DMG’s forecast of 21.9%, also with a possible upside surprise. Analyst Michael Kwatinetz, maintains his buy rating on the stock, which closed Tuesday at $94.375, up $4. The consensus estimate of analysts surveyed by First Call also currently stands at $0.42. The company is due to report its first quarter results on May 19.
