Shipley, UK based set-top box manufacturer Pace Micro Technology Plc has announced that it is to set up a second software development site north of London. The new facility, scheduled to open in March, will house between ten and fifteen software engineers, with the precise location to be announced in the next two weeks. Pace said the move would help the company bring products to market faster as it looks to develop more digital offerings, which are more heavily software-based. A spokesperson for the company added that the new site was part of Pace’s ongoing strategy to increase both its percentage and actual spending on research and development.
