CORRECTION: GIGANET CLARIFIES ITS PERFORMANCE CLAIMS

Correction: New cluster interconnect company GigaNet Inc wants us to clarify its performance claims over rivals Tandem Computers Inc and Dolphin Interconnect Solutions Inc (CI No 3,388). It measures Tandem’s ServerNet performance as 8% of GigaNet’s, and Dolphin’s SCI performance as 20% of GigaNet’s – by those figures GigaNet outperforms Tandem by 92% and SCI by 80%. Dolphin says it can’t verify or dispute the claims yet because GigaNet isn’t yet shipping production products. á
