Boston-based IT consulting firm Keane Inc says it’s completed the acquisition of fellow consultancy GSE Erudite Software Inc. Keane handed over $9.0m in cash for the Salt Lake City-based company. GSE Erudite had 1997 revenue of about $18m. Keane says the combined operations will give it a staff of 175 in that city. Keane’s growth strategy has always centered around acquisitions. It recently completed the purchase of application development and software consulting company Omega Systems, and on April 20 announced it would be acquiring Bricker & Associates Inc (CI No 3,393).
