Struggling graphics chip and board pioneer Number Nine Visual Technology has announced a new graphics board and some much needed deals. The company – in which Silicon Graphics Inc recently took a 26% stake (CI No 3,472) – has released a 32Mb version of its Revolution IV graphics board, based on its 128-bit Ticket To Ride IV graphics co-processor (CI No 3,419). Number Nine has also signed deals with S.A.G Electronics Inc and Quantex to use the 32Mb board in Windows NT workstations and Windows 98 systems aimed at business applications. The board will be available next month for $219.
