German software developers Micrologica AG and Brokat Infosystems AG are minority shareholders in LexLinkLine AG, a company starting up this week to market web and voice integration technologies. One of the first products in LexLinkLine’s portfolio is one called Internet Communication Center, which draws on Bargtheheide-based Micrologica’s computer telephony integration skills and Stuttgart-based Brokat’s electronic banking and commerce expertise to connect the internet with call centers.
Micrologica holds 37.5% of Dusseldorf-based LexLinkLine, while Brokat has 12.5%. The other 50% of the company is held by former Micrologica board member Andreas von Arnim, with a planned capital increase next year scheduled to take stakes to 40% for von Arnim, 40% for Micrologica, 10% for Brokat and the other 20% for other strategic partners, multimedia agencies and employees.
Brokat CEO Stefan Roever said the basic idea behind LexLinkLine’s formation is to develop and market customized products running on his company’s Twister e-services platform.
The two shareholder companies said that they will provide both the hard and software for LexLinkLine, with Micrologica also handling the systems integration and service. Meanwhile the multimedia agencies will provide the internet content, with LexLinkLine itself acting the general contractor, serving as the clients’ point of contact and carrying out staff training for the internet call center.
