NetManage Inc, which completed its acquisition of Simware Inc yesterday, says it has now turned Simware into its eBusiness Group, under the charge of Simware’s former president and CEO Glen Brownlee. Simware’s Salvo application development framework and consulting group will be sold by the group alongside NetManage’s own eN2000 eBusiness framework, adding web integration and web publishing to eN2000.

Zvi Alon, president and CEO of NetManage, said the acquisition would enable NetManage to pitch its products to Fortune 1000 companies with its desktop, server and web-to-host product lines. NetManage agreed to acquire Simware at the end of September for $28m in cash. Last month, the company also agreed to acquire IBM host connectivity and web-to-host company Wall Data Inc for $94m. And in August it acquired FTP Software for Unix-to-host connectivity.
