Against the background of ongoing legal scuffles with former ISP, Earthlink Network Inc, Microworkz Computer Corp has signed AT&T Worldnet as its service provider for the iToaster $199 PC, in a deal worth $300m over three years. Microworkz customers can chose from two different price models for internet access – free access but with additional banner advertising or $11.50 a month for 150 hours of access.
Earthlink sued Microworkz last week over an alleged breach of contract. However, Luanne Brown, a spokesperson for Microworkz said that she did not think that the suit and Microworkz signing a deal with AT&T were related. Microworkz has said that it will be launching legal action against Earthlink in its turn.
