Coffee firm Gourmet’s Choice has launched a new eCommerce site.
Following the lead of direct sales companies in the consumer markets space such as Avon and Lands End, Gourmet’s Choice Coffee has announced that its Gourmet’s Coffee.com subsidiary has unveiled its new eCommerce site at www.gourmetscoffee.com to complement its direct telephone sales channel.
The site features a wide variety of specialty and flavored coffees available for direct purchase in addition to recipes, roasting and brewing tips, and information about Gourmet’s Choice’s customer club. Gourmet’s Choice President James Tilton says, After viewing competitors sites and extensively testing our site, we feel that we are now ready to market our products in a more aggressive nature.
With North America currently dominating the B2C scene, comprising more than 70% of all online consumer spend, consumer packaged goods companies across the board are looking for new ways to reach the new highly connected consumer. In comparison to Internet pure plays and traditional brick and mortar establishments, direct sales companies such as Gourmet’s Coffee Co. are well positioned to succeed in the online world of eTailing.
A strong brand name, in addition to an understanding of how to deal with customers on a ‘virtual’ level, makes the progression to dotcom a natural one. And, given American’s love affair with the caffeinated bean, this is one eDrink that should go down well.
