The San Rafael, California-based company has bought truEInnovations Inc, which offers inexpensive file and data management software that is integrated into Autodesk’s inventor software environment. It has also bought software from VIA Development Corp that automates the process of creating wiring and other logical diagrams of machinery systems built on AutoCAD-based software.

The final acquisition is of Linius Technologies Inc which offers software for cable and wire harness automation, and automatically develops manufacturing documentation.

No value was given for the acquisitions, but with the downturn in spending by manufacturers, Autodesk has chosen an opportunity to purchase bolt-on applications at a time when companies are in a weak position to hold out for higher prices.
