Clear paid $11.2 million for one of four 3G licenses earlier this year. A consortium comprising of Jump Capital and Todd Corporation, both of New Zealand and the US based Berkshire Partners is understood to be in advanced talks with BT over a sale.
BT to sell New Zealand 3G license holder
The New Zealand landline telecommunications company, and 3G license holder, Clear Communications has been put up for sale by its parent company, British Telecommunications plc. The company only increased its holding in Clear to 100% two years ago, and it is now worth approximately $250 million.
