The addition of the Cloudscape database to the AGEA MobileSDK will provide a complete development environment for developers to build and test enterprise wireless applications on the AGEA MobileWORKS application development platform. With AGEA MobileSDK and Cloudscape, businesses can easily deploy their existing corporate applications at a minimal development cost, without rewriting them for mobile uses. Because Cloudscape is easily embedded, it requires no separate install or database management for remote wireless devices or wireless servers. As a component of the AGEA MobileWORKS server, the Cloudscape database provides developers with a robust, scalable Java database engine that is easily integrated with any Java standards-based application. Both Cloudscape and the AGEA MobileSDK are free for development use, which will significantly reduce development and deployment costs for mobile application developers.
