The high tech material is based on a type of wood paneling material, which could line the walls rooms and buildings. The paneling can even be used for doors. The wood is enhanced with called nickel-zinc ferrite. This absorbs the electromagnetic signals but will not transmit them.
The researchers say that the tests have been extremely successful and will create dead signal zones. The material is such that it could be sold by the meter. They hope to make the product readily available to the general public.
