Brush Engineered Materials Inc. Names Gary W. Schiavoni Assistant Treasurer & Assistant Secretary

COMPANY PRESS RELEASE: Brush Engineered Materials Inc. announced today that the Board of Directors has elected Gary W. Schiavoni to the position of Assistant Treasurer and Assistant Secretary. He has been Assistant Treasurer since 1999.

Mr. Schiavoni joined Brush in 1981 as a staff accountant. Since that time he has held various accounting and treasury management positions with the Company. He holds a Bachelor in Science in Business Administration from the University of Dayton and a Masters in Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
