Xiring has won exclusive rights to further develop the Ericsson Wireless Wallet technology platform, which is based on widely accepted standards, such as Bluetooth. The technology will be incorporated into Xiring future product offers.
Xiring and Ericsson share the same vision of a wireless communication enabled future, said Georges Liberman, CEO of Xiring. This agreement positions Xiring as a key player for secure mCommerce over the Mobile Internet.
mCommerce is still a developing industry, one of the major concerns regarding its future is the security of transactions, similarly to the world of eCommerce. This partnership may go some way to developing an environment sufficiently secure to reassure possible mConsumers that they are not in any danger of falling victim of any kind of fraud when they make purchases over the mobile Internet.
