EC OKs Hitachi and Mitsubishi JV
The European Commission has given a green light to Hitachi and Mitsubishi's LSI semiconductor joint venture, first announced in October. The companies are backing a new firm, Renesas, which will take their microcomputer, logic, analog and discrete devices, as well as flash and SRAM memory businesses.
