Investors in Wanadoo were also buoyed by the news that company chairman Nicolas Dufourcq said he was expecting Wanadoo to post a full year net profit and positive cash flow in 2003.

French ISP Groupe Wanadoo has posted improved half year and Q2 sales figures. Sales for the first half of this year totalled E918 million. This figure shows a rise of 33% compared with figures of E689 million for the corresponding period last year. The company also unveiled Q2 sales of E507 million. Wanadoo attributed its improved results to a 69% increase in Internet access sales. The increase was fuelled by a threefold rise in sales of broadband Internet access.
