This purchase will add 350,000 customers to US Cellular’s existing customer base. The company is currently the eighth largest operator in the US, with approximately 3.5 million customers.
US Cellular to expand in Illinois
US Cellular plans to acquire PrimeCo's Chicago operations for $610 million. The deal means that US Cellular will be avble to provide its wireless services to the Chicago region as well as beyond it, stretching to Peoria and Rockford.
