It has also been revealed that Jippii Group, the Finnish telecommunications company, has purchased the assets of KPNQwest’s business operations in Finland. Jippii is believed to be planning to incorporate the assets into a new business unit called Eunet Finland, which will offer services to corporate customers.
Interoute acquires part of KPNQwest’s Ebone network
UK based telco Interoute has announced that it has acquired a number of assets from KPNQwest's Ebone network. Interoute has purchased eight metropolitan area networks in major European cities such as Paris, Frankfurt, Madrid, Zurich, London, Vienna, Milan and Amsterdam. The company has also bought the backbone infrastructure that connects Munich to Vienna, Turin to Milan and Frankfurt to Strasbourg. The financial terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed.
