The deal between Lindon, Utah-based SCO and Tokyo, Japan-based Argo21 sees the systems integrator providing mission critical enterprise support services in Japan for SCO Linux 4.0 powered by UnitedLinux.

While it is understandable that the company should choose a local provider for Linux support services, it is not clear why SCO did not opt for its UnitedLinux partner Turbolinux Inc, which is also based in Tokyo and is the leading Linux distributor in Asia.
