The total gained from the fulfillment of the five contracts is $146 million.

These agreements come as a supplement to a $213 million GSM supply contract for the enlargement of the supplier’s GSM900/1800 dual band network in Hunan Province.

Motorola will expand China Mobile’s GSM networks in five separate provinces implementing Horizonsystems GSM infrastructure for use with GSM 900 and 1800 networks in Hubei, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Tianjin, and Beijing.

The networks are to be commercially viable by the end of the year.

Also Motorola will expand the Beijing Branch of China Mobile’s (Beijing Mobile) General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) network, using a Motorola and Cisco Systems, Inc. solution, to increase network coverage. Scheduled for completion later this month.
