The two major new products being unveiled at Retail Solutions 2001 are:

Described as ‘futuristic’ and ‘future proofed’, the all-new merchandise management system from Alphameric Retail is aimed at medium to large retailers. It has wide-ranging, highly sophisticated functionality and is available as an open solution on multiple platforms to anticipate future technological advances.

EPoS software Alphameric Retail has married its industry leading CounterPoint EPoS unit to ground-breaking Windows and web-enabled EPoS software created in-house. Developed in response to emerging market demands, this solution allows communication between stores and head office at the touch of a button. These elements combine to provide one of the strongest EPoS solutions available in the market today.

The software has been developed by Alphameric Retail to run on most hardware systems. CounterPoint is still the only EPoS unit available that can be customised to match a retailer’s corporate image and in-store ‘look and feel’.

Other products at the show include:

Galaxy Business Intelligence unlike many competitor systems, this has been developed specifically for retailers, which means it caters for their unique needs and can be up and running quickly without the need for expensive and time consuming specification and design adaptations.

Buyer’s Toolbox new from the USA and exclusive to Alphameric Retail, market leading Buyer’s Toolbox is a merchandise planning tool that can be adapted to suit any size of retail operation. Simple to use, affordable and highly versatile, Buyer’s Toolbox is the only truly scalable, ‘out of the box’ merchandise planning solution.

Nova Merchandise Management an established, high performance merchandise management system that’s been revamped and relaunched at a low-cost to suit retailers with 1-30 stores.

Galaxy Lite high levels of data warehousing functionality at a low cost. Ideally suited to small to medium sized retailers.

Managing Director, Phill Canning, comments:

When we acquired Pennine Retail Systems last year, we inherited a strong customer base of top tier retailers, such as JJB Sports, Clinton Cards and Matalan. While our work with these large multiples continues apace and our customer base in this sector continues to grow, much of what we’re showing this year is aimed at smaller retailers.

This is partly in response to our also having acquired MRS Software recently, which specialises in the owner-managed department, furniture and fashion store sectors. It makes commercial sense for smaller retailers to benefit from the evolved technical expertise we have to offer, so we’ve developed a range of affordable products, specifically tailored to their needs.

Alphameric Retail’s latest products will be on show throughout Retail Solutions on Stand R40, while MRS Software is exhibiting on Stand P20.
