With presence in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Australia and New Zealand, plans to open in Germany early next year, and to further expand across Europe, Touchbase which employs over 200 people has become an increasingly valuable channel to sell and support Avaya’s portfolio of converged voice and data, messaging and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions.

Avaya’s goal in Europe, the Middle East and Africa is to become a business partner leveraged sales organisation, utilising all aspects of our multi-channel sales model to drive and increase revenues. At the same time, we are continuing to invest in new high-growth areas, supported by our BusinessPartners, who are working alongside us to take on an increasingly larger element of Avaya business, said Anil Srivastava, Avaya’s Vice President of Channel Management, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). In pursuit of this goal, Touchbase now joins a highly select group of pan-EMEA BusinessPartners with the vision and ability to serve Avaya customers on a global basis. In the five years we have worked with Touchbase, our sales through them have grown tenfold. With over 60 engineers trained and accredited to sell and support our technology and the commitment to become a global partner, I am confident that Touchbase will replicate the considerable success it has had in the UK in other key markets across Europe.

Touchbase’s success is well told though the company’s extensive and rapid growth in 2000, as well as its strategy to focus on vertical market sectors by allocating dedicated client team to areas including finance, media and technology. The company has moved progressively to focus exclusively on selling and supporting most of Avaya’s portfolio including contact centre applications, CRM, wireless, messaging, connectivity and converged voice and data platforms, including Avaya’s Enterprise Class IP Solutions (ECLIPS) range. Touchbase will field the largest number of Avaya certified technical specialists in Europe.

Mike Danson, European Managing Director of Touchbase, said, We have been growing our business with Avaya across Europe and have demonstrated our ability to support Avaya’s multi-national customers across the region. Receiving pan-EMEA BusinessPartner status and our recent expansion to support Avaya’s business in Australia represent important milestones to achieving our objective of becoming a global company.
