Cellsoft introduces multiplayer GPRS poker

Cellsoft is to launch a multiplayer poker game for Symbian OS-based mobiles. Called CellPoker, the game can be played by up to eight real or simulated players. The game is played over the GPRS network or through a Bluetooth connection.

The multiple players in a particular game are able to see the actions of the other players in real time. CellPoker is Cellsoft’s first game for this new mobile multiplayer game market.

CellPoker can be played on smart phones, such as the Nokia 7605, and other Symbian OS handsets when they become available. This is because Symbian OS based mobiles are more suitable for multiplayer games over the network. Users will be able to obtain the game in Q3 2002.
